Elective is a payment solution that gives you the freedom to learn now and pay later – with no interest or added fees. With Elective, you can spread the cost of an educational purchase into equal installments over 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.
Elective is available to US and Canadian residents. There are a few requirements to get started with Elective: (1) be the age of majority in your state or province, (2) have a US or Canadian phone number that can receive texts, (3) have a valid email address, and (4) have a non-prepaid payment method available – we support a wide range of payment methods!
There’s no catch. We designed Elective to be the most student-friendly payment option on the market. We partner with leading course creators to offer Elective to their students. It’s a win-win-win!
With Elective, you will not pay late fees, prepayment penalties, or compound interest. It’s that easy.
Wizebank will do a soft credit check. This means that you can comfortably explore your payment plan options without any fear of your credit being affected!
However, please note that this may be a hard check in Canada.
We’re sorry that Elective couldn’t approve you for a payment plan at this time. All customers are assessed based on the information supplied at checkout. Elective was either unable to verify your identity or you did not pass their customer assessment guidelines. We are not provided any information on reasons customers are declined.
Here are a few possible reasons:
1. They couldn’t gather sufficient credit information from Equifax (Canada)/Experian (USA) to make a decision
2. Your credit information was locked or on freeze at Equifax (Canada)/Experian (USA)
3. Your credit information didn’t allow them to provide an approval
4. History of late or unsuccessful payments with Wizebank
5. You already have a payment plan outstanding and haven’t completed over 80% of payments yet
Our programs are non-refundable. So, please make sure you are committed to the program before setting up a payment plan with Elective.
